Editorial and Fact-Check Policy

This page explains how LLC Easy Guide is researched, written, and corrected.

Sources

We work from primary sources: IRS forms, instructions and revenue procedures, FinCEN rules, Social Security Administration figures, and state filing offices. We do not build guidance on other blogs. Where a number changes yearly, we cite the year and the source it came from.

Our calculators

Every calculator on this site states what it includes and what it leaves out, in plain language, next to the result. We would rather show a smaller, honest number than a large one that ignores costs. The S corp calculator subtracts the qualified business income deduction that a salary destroys, which most comparable tools omit, and it subtracts the real cost of running payroll.

What we will not do

We do not invent authors. Articles are bylined to the Easy Guides Editorial Team because that is who writes them. We do not present affiliate relationships as neutral recommendations, and where we have one we will say so on the page.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, tell us at hello@theeasyguides.com. We verify against the primary source and correct confirmed errors promptly. Substantive corrections are noted on the page.

Limits

We are not a law firm, a CPA firm, or a registered agent, and nothing here is legal, tax, or financial advice. Forming an entity and electing how it is taxed carry consequences specific to your circumstances. For advice about your situation, speak with a qualified attorney or CPA.
